The Institute’s membership is open to both organisations and individuals who are committed to professional and ethical practice of financial management.
THE INSTITUTE OF PROFESSIONAL FINANCIAL CONSULTANTS IPFC is a body for financial planners, financial advisers, financial analyst, financial managers, and investment managers and for those interested in the financial management profession. The Institute seeks to provide a platform for those involved within the financial management system to engage in the critical task of organizational growth and nation building.
Established as a catalyst for change and authorized by the federal government of Nigeria as a professional body under the Companies Act of 1990. The Institute of Professional Financial Consultants IPFC is dedicated to promoting and improving the quality of financial policy decisions being made by policy makers
The Institute is focused on manpower development and training of members to enhance their skills and effectiveness at the workplace. Members are encouraged to participate in continuous professional development CPD and earn points towards our Certified Financial Consultants.
IPFC has established affiliations with other international professional organizations and institutions with the aim of benefiting from aligning its members with international best practices and business networking
Institutions can join the Institute as corporate members. Corporate membership include two senior executives of the organisations. Corporate members include Accounting firms, stockbroking and insurance firms and those providing financial advisory services
INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP: IPFC offers four professional membership stages:
This membership grade is for students and recent graduates who have interest in pursuing a career in financial consulting
Holders of GPFC who have spent not less than 3 years on that grade and Graduates in relevant disciplines with relevant practical experience and who have been in active practice for a period of less than 6 years are eligible to apply for the associate membership of the institute.
Graduates in relevant fields with track-records and sound on the job without financial management background can also apply including holders of relevant professional membership.
Candidates who have spent 3years as an Associate are qualified to apply for this grade and graduates in relevant fields with impressive track-records and sound practical experience including Professionals with 10 years working experience in financial services industry
Holders of approved professional qualifications approved by the council
This is the highest grade of membership of the institute and members who have spent 3 years on full membership grade can apply for this grade
Those with over 16 years’ experience 10 of which should be in strategic management capacity
Those pre approved by the council on reciprocal membership which include Senior executives, CFOs, CEOs, CTOs that meets the requirements above
